A batch of transportation projects in Hangzhou have made new progress! Involving national highways, high-speed railways

Recently, a group of transportation engineering workers have made new progress: some ground roads in the core section of the 104 National Highway Exhibition New City have entered the final sprint stage of completion, and the box girder erection of the entire Hangzhou Quzhou high-speed railway has been successfully completed. Let's take a look together!

On the evening of August 11th, the water stable pavement of the ground road in the core section of the Exhibition New City project from Hangzhou Hezhuang to Yaqian on National Highway 104 was carried out, marking the completion sprint stage of the EPC-01 section of the Exhibition New City core road.


The core section of the Exhibition New City project from Hangzhou Hezhuang to Yaqian on National Highway 104 is the main north-south transportation channel of the Grand Exhibition Center, with a total length of about 1.786 kilometers. In order to ensure the convening of the September Trade Fair, since the start of the first pile foundation construction in early December 2023, the Development Center has strengthened organization and coordination, quickly broken through early difficulties such as land acquisition, pipeline construction, and traffic reform, scientifically arranged and dynamically controlled the construction plan. At present, the main body of the elevated bridge in the core section of the Exhibition New City has been basically formed and ground road construction is underway. The water stable subgrade paving construction this time is for the EPC-01 section of the Exhibition New City core section, with a length of 519m. A total of 25000 square meters of water stable subgrade and 23600 square meters of water stable subgrade need to be paved.


Two pavers are used on the construction site for staggered operations, and six heavy machinery such as rubber tired rollers and double steel tired rollers are used for compaction operations. As of 11:00 am on the 13th, 1694 square meters of water stable subgrade and 1578 square meters of water stable subgrade have been paved, and it is expected to continue construction for about 11 days. The operation will be completed on August 25th. At present, the overall image progress of this section is about 85%.


Next, after the water stable paving of the ground road is completed, the asphalt paving of the ground road surface will be carried out immediately, striving to complete the asphalt operation on the road surface by August 30th, and the ground road will be ready for traffic in mid September, creating a safe road network environment to ensure the convening of the data trade fair.




The box girder erection of the Hangzhou Quzhou high-speed railway has been successfully completed, and the track laying is about to begin




Recently, at the construction site in Taocun, Jiangshan City, as the last single track box girder landed steadily on the safety line 1 to 2 piers of the Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway's upstream connecting line super large bridge, the box girder erection of the Hangzhou Quzhou high-speed railway was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of ballastless track beds and the laying of tracks along the entire line!



The Hangzhou Quzhou high-speed railway is the first large-scale high-speed railway project in Zhejiang Province to use 40 meter and 1000 ton box girders for construction, and it is also an important pilot line for 40 meter high iron box girders in China.


Since the first 40 meter prefabricated box girder was erected on December 21, 2020, the Hangzhou Railway Hub Project Construction Command, together with participating units, has overcome many difficulties, scientifically organized construction, and ensured the successful completion of the box girder erection construction task for the entire line. Subsequently, the Hangzhou Quzhou high-speed railway will enter the stage of comprehensive track laying.



The Hangzhou Quzhou High speed Railway is a fast and efficient high-speed railway connecting Hangzhou and Quzhou in Zhejiang Province, running from Hangzhou West to Jiande to Jiangshan.


The Hangzhou West Jiande section has been opened, and the newly built Jiande Jiangshan section is about 131 kilometers long, with 6 stations including Jiande, Jiande South, Longyou North, Qujiang (reserved), Quzhou West, and Jiangshan. The designed speed is 350 kilometers per hour.


The Hangzhou Quzhou high-speed railway is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2025. After its opening, trains will run between Hangzhou West Station and Quzhou, reducing the transportation time between Hangzhou and Quzhou to more than 40 minutes. It will also achieve multi-point and multi-channel connections between Quzhou and Hangzhou, which is of great significance for alleviating the transportation pressure of the Shanghai Kunming railway, supporting the development of the Hangzhou West Station hub, promoting the urbanization of Hangzhou and Quzhou, and assisting the high-quality development and construction of a demonstration zone for common prosperity in western Zhejiang.
